Happy New Year!

1 - 2018 is off to a brutally cold start that has caused some school closings. We are under a Wind Chill Warning with temps staying below zero until at least the lunch hour. Your Local 4 News Pinpoint Forecast is here.

2 - Davenport Schools have cancelled classes for today, extending the holiday break for their students due to the cold. A complete list of cancellations and delays from our news partners at Local 4 News is here.

3 - John Fox is out as coach of the Bears, and defensive coordinator Dom Capers is out in Green Bay. Details and scores when we do That Sports Thing around 7:30am.

4 - It is now illegal to leave your pet outside during extreme temperatures in Illinois. The law came into effect with the new year. Those found in violation face a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a $2,500 fine or up to one year in jail if they are found guilty. That's my Craig's Question today: Do you bring your pets inside during extreme weather? Sound off on our Facebook page.

Have a great Tuesday and a Happy and healthy 2018.
