Weather-wise, it's going to be a great President's Day for those who have it off.

1 - We had our warmest February temperature EVER yesterday when the thermometer hit 74º at Quad Cities airport. Today will be a little cooler, but reminiscent of a late Spring day as we see a little rain, and maybe a thunderstorm, with a high of 67º. WQAD Meteorologist Eric Sorensen says more records temps arrive for Tuesday and Wednesday.

2 - The warm weather brought out not only grills, but motorcycles, with a tragic ending last night in Davenport. Police say a motorcyclist is dead after a crash on River Drive near Credit Island last night. Andy Abeyta of the Quad City Times has details.

3 - It's President's Day, but why, and when, did we start celebrating the nation's leader? The tradition began in 1800 after the death of our first president George Washington a year earlier. Washington's birthday - February 22 - became an annual day of remembrance. The folks at History.com explain how it evolved into the convenient 3rd Monday of February day off that we enjoy today.

4 - Lots of games on the docket in high school basketball playoffs today including The Lady Rocks facing Bradley-Bourbannais in the 4A Region Sectional Semi-Final. We'll give you the rundown of all the games when we do That Sports Thing at around 7:30am on The Morning KIIK Start.

Enjoy the weather on this President's Day holiday.
