Hump Daaaaay.

1 - The Iowa Senate voted last night to legalize the sale, possession, and use of fireworks. According to the Quad City Times, the bill was opposed by firefighters, medical organizations, veterans groups and safety advocates. I am also not a fan of the legislation. While it's nice to believe that fireworks are used solely for 4th of July celebrations, the reality is they are fired off at random throughout the year, often late at night, causing disruptions for veterans, dogs, and those just trying to get a good night's sleep.

2 - Jerry Krause, the architect of the championship Chicago Bulls teams of the 1990's has died at age 77. Details when we do That Sports Thing at about 7:35am on The Morning KIIK Start.

3 - It will be sunny today, but we'll be about ten degrees below normal temps for this time of year. Chin up though, as Friday will see a high temp of near 70º. WQAD Meteorologist Eric Sorensen has your forecast details here.

4 - When we do That Hollywood Thing at around 8:35am, I'll tell you about the death of Chuck Barris, creator of the 1970's television phenomenon The Gong Show who passed away yesterday at age 87.

Have a great Wednesday.

- Craig
