Craig's List: 4 Things to Know

I am convinced it's Friday today. Imagine my disappointment tomorrow morning.

1 - We're experiencing a few minor thunderstorms this morning, but nothing to worry about. Showers will continue off and on today before ending early tomorrow. WQAD Meteorologist Eric Sorensen has the forecast details here.

2 - I've got two pairs of tickets to give away this morning to see Journey with special guests Asia on Monday night at the iWireless Center. Listen during the 7 and 8 o'clock hours for your chance to call in and win.

3 - Tuesday is Municipal Election Day in Illinois. The mayoralty seat in both Rock Island, and Moline is up for grabs. Many school board seats, assorted county seats and referendum questions are on the ballot too. Our news partners at WQAD News 8 have all the ballots covered, along with information on where you can vote early.

4 - The Quad City Time reports that an Iowa City couple who began construction on a 7,500 square foot house resembling Kinnick Stadium will be allowed to continue after a judge ruled there were no issues with a city issued building permit.
