Craig’s List: 4 Things to Know – 4/18
Another great day for a “sick day.”
1 – Sunshine and warm temps rule the day. We might see a brief shower west of the Mississippi. Humidity will be a little higher leading to a warm, humid, July-like day for Wednesday with the chance of late day storms. WQAD Meteorologist Eric Sorensen has the forecast details here.
2 – At last night’s Rock Island city council meeting, outgoing mayor Dennis Pauley announced that Dunkin’ Donuts will return to Rock Island this autumn. The store will be located just a block from the former Dunkin’ location on 18th Avenue. Get details here.
3 – The Chicago Blackhawks are on the brink of elimination at the hands of the Nashville Predators. They dropped an overtime decision in Game 3 of their opening round best-of-7 series last night, giving the Preds a 3-0 stranglehold. Details and scores on That Sports Thing at around 7:35am on The Morning KIIK Start.
4 – This morning we’ll chose three winners to join Jeff, Joni and I at this Saturday’s ‘It’s A Mystery’ comedy whodunit show at Skellington Manor & Event Center in Rock Island. You can get more info about the show at It’sAMysteryQC.com, and grab tickets at SkellingtonManor.com. More entertainment news when we do That Hollywood Thing at about 8:35am on FM 104-9.
Have a great Tuesday.
