It's River Bandits Opening Day.

1 - The Quad City River Bandits return to the field today to open their 2017 season at Modern Woodman Park. Pre-game fireworks are just part of the celebration of the return of baseball season. Details and scores when we do That Sports Thing at around 7:35am on The Morning KIIK Start.

2 - The weather will be ideal for opening day weekend with sunny skies for the next four days. Temps will rise into the 70's by Sunday. WQAD Meteorologist Eric Sorensen has forecast details here.

3 - Could Krispy Kreme donuts be coming back to the Quad Cities? Sandwich chain Panera has agreed to sell itself to a German company that also owns Krispy Kreme. The company hopes to close the deal by Q3 this year.

4 - Paul O’Neill, founder of the Trans Siberian Orchestra has died at age 61. Details on Paul's passing, and more entertainment news when we do That Hollywood Thing at 8:35am on FM 104.9.
