Mother Nature is getting ready to crank up the heat for this weekend.

1 - It'll will be a wonderful late Spring day, but you'll begin to feel more humidity in the air today as we build towards some serious heat and humidity for the weekend, and early next week. WQAD Meteorologist Eric Sorensen has your forecast details here.

2 - The Greek Cultural Festival gets underway today in East Moline. I've got our last family 4-pack of tickets with food vouchers to give away for this event this morning. Also, Muddy Fest and Matchbox 20 tickets up for grabs too. More entertainment news and stuff to do this weekend when we do That Hollywood Thing at about 8:40am on The Morning KIIK Start.

3 - Alvarez hit two of the River Bandits' five homers in a 10-3 win over Wisconsin last night. The Bandits go for the sweep tonight. Catch all the play-by-play on our sister station KBOB 1170 AM. Scores and more when we do That Sports Thing at around 7:40am on FM 104-9.
