Despite the flu, I'm muddling through... and apparently have taken up poetry.

1 - It will feel more like late September or early October than August the next few days. Sunshine will dominate the next two days, with showers on the docket for Sunday. Here is a link to your forecast from the National Weather Service.

2 - The NFL kicked off their 2018 pre-season last night with the Hall of Fame game. The Dallas Cowboys defeated Arizona 20-18. Our sister station, ESPN 93.5 is the broadcast home of Chicago Bears football all season long. ESPN 93.5 also carries Thursday night, Sunday night, and Monday night football live. 3 - Quad City Music Guild opens their production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard tonight. The show runs this weekend and next. Details and more entertainment news when we do That Hollywood Thing at around 8:40am.

4 - Rock Island-Milan School District, and Untied Township High School students went back to school yesterday. East Moline returns August 14. Moline goes back August 22. Bettendorf and PV kids are back August 23rd, and Davenport students start August 24th. Be mindful to slow down in school zones as kids return to school.
