March madness for Division III men’s basketball teams begins at The Carver Center on the campus of Augustana College. 64 teams have been selected to battle for that elusive trip to Salem, VA and the Division III Final Four. Augustana College has been to Salem two out of the last three years.

Semi-final contests on Friday begin at 5:30PM when Augsburg and Hope attempt to reach Saturday night’s finals.  The second game on Friday night features the host Vikings, recent CCIW regular season co-champions and conference tournament winners, trying to put the reins on Greenville College.

The Vikings are holding opponents to 68.7 points per game while Greenville comes into Friday night’s contest averaging 126.6 points per game.  Let me say that again…126.6 points per game. That’s the highest per game average in all NCAA men’s divisions.

If you’re looking to see three exciting small college basketball games, there’s no better place to see it than The Carver Center. You’ll want to get there early for a good seat and be ready to cheer the Vikings on to victory.

For further information, visit the Augustana College Athletics website here.

Ticket prices, which are set by the NCAA, are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors aged 60 and up, $5 for students and children aged 2-18 and children under two will be admitted free of charge.  No passes will be recognized. Doors at Carver Center open at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and 5:30 on Saturday.
