International Kissing Day is Friday July 6th. In honor of International Kissing Day here's 5 great ways kissing is good for your health. While you read this I think I'm going to head home and lock lips with my wife. Happy kissing!

    Kissing is good for the mouth.

    When you swap saliva with someone, that extra saliva helps clean out the bacteria in your teeth. In addition, a great make out session exercises all the muscles in your face which can keep you looking young! For more on this check out WebMD.

    According to WebMD kissing "quells anxiety, and it heightens the experience of being present in the moment." Simply, kissing produces a lot of the same psychological changes that meditation does.

    Kissing has been shown to boost our immune system. In some cases kisses have been shown to reduce skin and nasal allergies. You can read more about that here.

    Glamour points out that this is kind of obvious, but kissing releases testosterone which is the hormone responsible for sex drive in both men and women. So prolonged kissing can lead to more sex.

    CNN says kissing is a great way to check out sexual compatibility before getting naked with someone. If your first or second lip-lock is a dud, maybe you're not meant to be together!
