Gas prices are higher than they've been in a while. In fact, just a few cents away from being the highest since 2014. Average around the country in about $2.89. Some experts say it may go over $3.00 a gallon soon. The high gas prices are a result of relationships with Iran and other factors. Many are calling to repeal gas taxes.

More expensive fuel means cabs will cost more, ubers, plane rides, delivery services... just about anything that requires gas will be more expensive for all of us.

The Quad Cities average gas price currently is at $2.85. So we are below the national average. Hopefully they will go down soon.... but they are expected to go up over $3.00 at some point.
