Gunman Forces Hospital Outside Peoria To Be Put On Lockdown

Police and hospital officials in Pekin, Illinois, put the local hospital on lockdown on Monday after receiving a call that a man with a handgun was on his way to the facility. Staff and patients were placed on a Code Black Operational Lockdown with orders to shelter in place.

Police intercepted the man when he arrived at the hospital and he was disarmed.
