Happy Birthday, Happy Joe

His pizza parlors are part of the fabric of what make up the Quad Cities. So many kids in the area grew up with a birthday tradition of pizza, ice cream and being sung to at Happy Joe's.

But this weekend the tables are turned for Happy Joe Whitty the man behind the pizza empire. Sunday there will be an 80th birthday celebration for Happy Joe in Eldridge. The party includes a Birthday Car & Wheel Show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. dancing, mascots, a chance to have a photo taken with Happy Joe himself and of course what would the party be without Happy Joe's Pizza.

The party will be at the Happy Joe's Eldridge location,  350 E. LeClaire Road.
