Did a bill actually get passed in Springfield yesterday?  Yes, but it still has a ways to go to become law.

Just hours away from breaking for the summer, the Illinois house passed a bill that will add Post Traumatic Stress Disorder to the list of diseases treatable by medical marijuana.

The bill now goes to the Senate, where it's expected to pass as well.

This has been a hotly debated topic both here in Illinois and nationwide for months.

With this new bill, patients would only need a doctor's diagnosis to be eligible for medical marijuana.

The bill would also add terminal illness, such as cancer, to the list.
