Anyone who has sat in traffic during I-74 bridge construction knows how Iowans struggle with zipper merging. That was one of the findings in a survey by the folks at Kars4Kids according to a report published on Monday.

In a survey of driving habits in all 50 states, Iowa drivers received a failing grade of F when it came to allowing traffic to merge, and the use of turn signals. The grade for courtesy was a little better, resulting in an overall grade of D — 41st on the list.

Illinois drivers scored better with a C average placing them 31st on the list. The biggest criticism of Land of Lincoln drivers was tailgating.
