It's time for St. Ambrose University's annual Wine Fest. It's a community-driven volunteer event that raises money and awareness for the needs of future, current, and past students at the university. Proceeds go to support student scholarships.

The event will be held Sat. May 19 from 3-6 pm under the trees on the university's campus. According to their Facebook post  you can 'sip your way through a 180 wines from around the world and enjoy culinary highlights from a number of local restaurants. Festival vintner, Dimitri Papageorgiou, offers his years of experience in the wine industry to assemble an impressive assortment of wines from California to Germany to New Zealand.

There's also appetizers and desserts from Quad City restaurants and bakeries.  Here's where you can get tickets in advance.
