Cubs fans who subscribe to Mediacom are in for a disappointment tonight. Game 2 of the NLDS between the Cubs and the San Francisco Giants, scheduled for a 7pm start, will only be televised on MLB Network, a specialty channel that Mediacom cable does not carry.

According to a Mediacom spokesman quoted in the Quad City Times, the reason Mediacom does not carry MLB Network, is an inability to come to agreement on which package the channel would be included in.

The remainder of the games in the series will be broadcast on FS1 Network, which Mediacom does carry.  That is certain to provide no solace for Cubs fans with Mediacom, who will miss tonight's broadcast, unless they call up friends with satellite service, or visit a local watering hole carrying the game.

Go Cubbies!
