Pita Pit in Bettendorf Just Announced a Huge Change

Pita Pit lovers, what are your feelings about this?

The sandwich chain, which has a store in Bettendorf, just dropped a bunch of new items and well, my mouth is salivating.

The tasty new pita options include Chicken Pesto, Bacon Cheeseburger, Steak Fajita, Thai Chicken, and Baja Chicken Bacon Ranch, just to name a few. There's also a new vegetarian selection called the Boom Boom Black Bean. And according to the owner of Pita Pit Bettendorf, the Bacon Cheeseburger was originally invented at their store and is now going to be featured on menus nationwide.

The sandwiches are a part of the chain's 'Artisan Line,' and feature more gourmet ingredients and sauces. No need to worry for fans of the Pita Pit classics, however. It doesn't appear that any of their regular offerings, like the Gyro, Falafel, and Chicken Caesar, have been removed. Consider the menu change an upgrade of sorts.

The new selections appear to be going over well since people are commenting like crazy on Facebook. Pita Pit has always been tasty, so I'm thinking the new menu options will be just as delicious.
