About three months ago, the look of the Moline riverfront changed. The Captain's Table burnt to the ground while being renovated.

According to WQAD, plans are in the works for a new Captain's Table. It will be in the same spot as the original, but the new look will be bigger.

The first floor would have the same amount of seating as the original restaurant and will includes an outdoor patio, encased in glass and the ability to open up to the outside as well as a lounge.

The second floor includes an observation deck, a glass room for private parties or meetings, a second patio, and a fire pit. The second floor would also have space for guests to wait for tables.

Management of the Captain's Table are waiting for approval to begin building and hope to be completed by the first quarter of 2019.
