Two QCA Grocery Stores Have Closed Suddenly

According to WQAD, two more area Save-A-Lot stores have shut their doors without warning, following the sudden closing of two Davenport locations earlier this year.

Shoppers were stunned to see the Rock Island and Milan stores both had signs on their doors that said, “We have permanently closed due to no longer being able to operate at an effective level.  It has been a privilege to be a part of a great community.”

Many regular customers suspected nothing, while others noticed that the stores' shelves had become emptier recently.

Even employees felt blindsided, having been notified just the night before the closures via text message.
