Have you been feeling under the weather lately? This may explain why.

According to WAND 17 in Quincy, IL, an "extremely contagious" stomach virus has been making its way through Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri over the last few weeks.

This particular virus causes diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, and fever. The virus only lasts a couple of days, but the main concern for those who end up contracting it is to avoid dehydration from the loss of fluids.

Health officials say the most important thing you can do to avoid coming down with the illness is keep washing your hands. And if you suspect that you may have the virus, stay home from work if possible to avoid infecting others.
