I love many styles of music and acapella singing is no exception. Last night, a couple kiddos and I enjoyed the Sing Off Live Tour at the historic Adler Theater downtown Davenport. The craze at my house began with Glee and then Pitch Perfect reeled it in. We feel the love for 'aca' in my neck of the woods.

Our voices are one of the most important instruments there are. Watching someone using it like an actual instrument is nothing short of fascinating to watch. My girls and I got to do that last night and had a great time watching University of Iowa's acapella men's group open the show.

Then,The Exchange, Voice Play and Street Corner Symphony from the NBC show Sing-Off performed and delivered an acapella experience. They all had segments that got us dancing, hollering and singing along. At one point, the beatboxing and bass in their voices made it nearly unbelievable that those sounds were coming from voices only! That was the promise of the show from the very beginning and they delivered.
