Many of you participated in the naming and voting contest for the newest member of the Arconic eagle family. After the votes were tallied the eaglets are named Analiese and Terry, according to the Arconic Eagle Cam Facebook page.

The eaglets are named after Riverdale firefighter, Analiese Chapman and Hampton police chief, Terry Engle. Chapman, 20 died earlier this year from complications of cystic fibrosis. She had served as a volunteer firefighter along with her dad for the Riverdale Fire Department for the past two years.

Chief Engle, 57 died in a car crash while on duty for the Hampton police department. According to WQAD, he had served in a law enforcement for more than 40 years; six of those in Hampton, IL.

According to the QC Times, John Riches, Arconic's Davenport spokesman, said the eaglets could be able to fly in the second half of June. At that time, they would learn to fly and hunt for four to six weeks here in the Quad-Cities.
