I gotta give a shout out to Ashton Kutcher for turning me on to wearing yellow, just like him today. When I saw his video on Facebook and he was wearing our very own Iowa Hawkeye gear, I had to press play to find out what he was up to.It was a video to brighten the spirits of little guy named, Seth. Seth is suffering from a disease that keeps him from having an immune system. Seth is asking people to #wearyellowforseth and hats off to Ashton for making this happen!

Let's lift this dudes spirits today. #WearYellowForSeth http://aplus.com/a/seth-wear-yellow-bubble

I am so happy I clicked on the video. In fact, I was so inspired to help. I made one myself:

Our intern, Avalon from St. Ambrose University,  has something to say about this too:

"I want to make a difference.  I want to change a life.  I want to be a part of something more.
I know I’m not alone in this desire.  I have found this passion and drive in so many people that I have been associated with and it’s truly inspiring.  With our University’s Dance Marathon tomorrow, my mind has been set on helping children and doing things “For The Kids”.  When I came into work this afternoon and heard the buzz going around about this little boy, Seth, who is suffering from a rare disorder called severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) that affects his immune system, basically leaving him with no immune system to help defend his little body.
Fighters like this little guy are a true inspiration.  They make you take a step back and acknowledge all the things that you have to be grateful for.  People tend to lose sight of all the positive things in their lives as we’re clouded by the focus on negativity.  The excitement around the station this morning about this video that Ashton Kutcher posted about Seth and his fight was contagious.
As you can see on our YouTube page on 104.9 The Hawk, Joni had a fire lit within her when she saw Ashton’s video.  She decided that it was her turn to continue this initiative and throw on her yellow “dirty, wrinkly workout shirt” and show her support for Seth.  To find out more about Seth’s story, follow the link below to Ashton’s page!
So today, I challenge YOU.  Put on something yellow.  A shirt, a scarf, a hat, or pants if you have them.  Take a picture of yourself and post it to Facebook or Instagram with #wearyellowforseth.  This little boy needs your support in any way that you can.  He’s fighting a lifelong battle, let’s make a difference in his life today and show him that we’re here for him.  That’s all it takes."
