Bettendorf 2nd Grader is a Finalist in the 2016 Google Doodle Contest!

Need some inspiration today? Look no further than a second grade student at Hopewell Elementary in Bettendorf.

Shalini Chandupatla's submission for Google's 2016 "Doodle Contest" has been voted the best in Iowa, and now moves on to the national competition.

This year's theme is "What makes me...me" and Chandupatla's doodle says "I feel so good being me".  There's some excellent art in her doodle as well.

She's already won a PC tablet and sweatshirt for being the Iowa finalist.  If Chandupatla wins the whole thing, she'll receive a $30,000 scholarship and Hopewell Elementary will receive a $50,000 education grant.
