The worst part of not owning a vehicle is waiting for public transit in inclement weather. In the snow, or cold, delays can cause your bus to be late while you stand at the stop freezing.

Last year, CitiBus in Davenport and MetroLINK on the Illinois side of the river enhanced their service with the introduction of a new app called TransLoc.

According to a report by our news partner Local 4 News on OurQuadCites.com, TransLoc allows riders to watch buses moving in real time, see the location and heading of buses in their vicinity, and get accurate arrival predictions.

Beginning Monday, February 5th, riders will be able to track Bettendorf Transit vehicles on the TransLoc app, putting the entire Quad Cities transit system on the app... and hopefully help riders avoid standing at a freezing bus stop any longer than necessary.

You can download TransLoc from GooglePlay or the Apple App Store.
