The 2016 Bix kickoff event was held yesterday at the Isle of Capri in Bettendorf, and it looks like things will be a little different this summer.

Many have been wondering what the "Bix at Six" training races will look like, considering Brady Street is set to undergo major construction beginning next month.

Event organizers say the training runs will begin up Pershing Street, instead of Brady, to accommodate the construction work.

Also, this year there will be TWO Beat the Elite runners, instead of one.  These runners will begin at the course's halfway point, and will earn $2,500 if they cross the finish line before the race winner.

The 42nd annual Quad-City Times Bix 7 Road Race takes place July 30th.  Register HERE.
