Brady Street Gets Down Tonight

Well, we've waited all morning and so far, the two-way is a no-go! We know it's going to be a definite and trippy occurrence. Are you ready?

With Brady Street right outside The Hawk's Nest window (yes, there are windows in a hawk's nest!), I have had a slight case of whiplash this morning, as I keep whipping my neck around to see cars are going in the opposite direction!

This hasn't happened since 1984 (trippy date, huh?) and it's a big deal for Davenport. I know it effects my everyday driving to and from work. Harrison will be completely closed from 12th to 5th street, so traffic will be redirected to go DOWN Brady from 14th to 4th street and will be like this through December!

City workers have been busy all morning making final preparations. I have to say, I do have my concerns about people remembering or even following signs, after all, we have a truck-eating bridge with signs all over it and drivers STILL manage to get it wrong. I hope that is not the case and that everyone will remain safe on the newly-outed 'two-way'. Whatever the day brings us, we know for sure, Brady street will be getting down by tonight!
