In the Quad Cities, it seems like a morning commute isn't complete without some sort of detour and/or construction delay. On Monday, that'll come thanks to the I-80 bridge.

According to WQAD, crews will be starting to clean and wash the bridge in preparation for inspections. With that, drivers are being warned to expect lane closures for both eastbound and westbound lanes.

Luckily, this should only affect your morning commute, not the drive home. Per the report, all lanes will be open to traffic from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday and all lanes will be completely open Friday-Sunday.

Still, it'll be more than just a day or two of changes to your morning drive. The washing is supposed to take around 2 weeks, which takes us through the end of the month.

Of course, that week you'll have to deal with all the 4th of July holiday traffic. But maybe after that, it'll be normal! (I doubt it).
