It won't be long before the quarter mile drag strip get LOUD in beautiful Cordova, Illinois.

Cordova International Raceway is, of course, host to The World Series of Drag Races (the Granddaddy of them all) and home to races every weekend from April through October.

But before the season begins...they are looking for volunteers to come help do some sprucing up of their beautiful facility!   So, grab your shovels, wheelbarrows, rakes, leaf blowers, tools and just about anything else you could think of to help make Cordova spiffy for the upcoming season.

Of course they wouldn't ask you to do this for free.  As an added bonus you will be provided a meal by the one and only Dominic Blasco! If you have not had Dyno Dom's cooking, perfect time to come check it out.

Plus you'll be given a free entry for a Test n Tune race at Cordova.

This Saturday from 10am til 5pm is the Volunteer day.

Upcoming events include:

Saturday, April 10th....Volunteer Day Test n Tune

Saturday, April 17th...Spring Warm Up & Test n Tune

Sunday, April 25th...IHRA Chassis Certs

Saturday, May 22nd....GM Ford Mopar Nationals

Friday, May 28th...Street Car Shoot Out

If you've never been to an event at Cordova, this year is an excellent time to see some of the fastest racing action in the Midwest! Watch these racers bend the laws of physics as they barrel down the track!  The speed, the sounds, the smells are all a huge part of the great time to be had at Cordova International Raceway.
