2 - Today is the "day the music died." 3 - Imagine if Sunday's Super Bowl were being played in Rock Island. At one time, it was a possibility. Rock Island was home to one of the founding teams of the National Football League. The Rock Island Independents were a very successful team, and Rock Island's Douglas Park a popular place among NFL players in the early days of the league. 4 - Though we're up for more sunshine today with a high of 30º, and a pretty mild weekend, WQAD Meteorologist Eric Sorensen says we could see some snow next week.
