Craig’s List – 4 Things to Know – 2/9

It's a cold one this morning, but warmer weather is just around the corner; and an Erie couple has been found after an alleged abduction.

1 - As of 6:00am it is 13º with a wind chill of 0º, but relief is on the way. Temps will rise to 26º today, then climb up into the 50's for Friday and Saturday. WQAD Meteorologist Eric Sorensen has the forecast details here.

2 - An odd story out of Erie in Whiteside County this morning. A couple who was believed to have been abducted has been found and is being treated in hospital.  Police have a suspect in custody. Our news partner WQAD has the latest particulars on this strange incident.

3 - The Lady Rocks wrap up their regular season tonight with a game against Galesburg. The Rock Island girls head into the contest with a 27-1 record. Meanwhile, Mercer County and Sherrard girls basketball teams face-off in the 2A Regional final tonight. More local sports on That Sports Thing around 7:30am on The Morning KIIK Start on KIIK 104.9.

4 - On a call with shareholders yesterday, Disney Chairman Bob Iger announced that the new Star Wars Land at both Florida's Disney World and California's DIsneyland would open in 2019. More entertainment news on That Hollywood Thing about 8:35am on FM 104.9
