1 - We've known it has been coming for a while, and now it's just days before the major reconstruction of John Deere Road begins between I-74 and 70th Street in Moline. According to WQAD News 8, the work begins March 9 with traffic on John Deere Road being re-routed to a head to head configuration beginning March 27.
2 - Davenport North's Paige Bradford was named the Mississippi Athletic Conference's basketball player of the year on Wednesday. Details and last night's high school basketball scores when we do That Sports Thing around 7:35am on The Morning KIIK Start.
3 - The Des Moines Register reports that the Willis Broadway Series will bring the blockbuster musical Hamilton to Des Moines as part of their 2017-2018 season. The announcement is expected to be made when the season is announced on March 20. More entertainment news when we do That Hollywood Thing at about 8:35am on FM 104.9.
4 - The communities of Naplate, Ottawa and surrounding areas continue to clean-up from deadly tornadoes earlier this week.
