Warm, but rainy weekend is just around the corner.

- From the 23º wind chill temp we're experiencing at 6am today, to tomorrow's forecast high of 74º, we'll rise just over fifty degrees. Crazy. Some wet weather is on the way with those temps too. WQAD Meteorologist Eric Sorensen has the details here.

 - WQAD News 8 reports that an Iowa Senate panel has voted in favor of a bill to stop municipalities and counties from raising the minimum wage above $7.25, which could, effectively, result in pay cuts for low-wage workers. Whaaaaat?!

 - The Illini are the latest regional team to succumb to the madness of March basketball with a loss against Central Florida last night.  The Lady Hawkeyes face COlorado tonight in the Women's NIT. Details when we do That Sports Thing at around 7:35am on The Morning KIIK Start.

 - After 60 years at the helm, Genesius Guild founder, and area broadcaster Don Wooten says he's finally ready to retire from the Quad Cities group.  No, really. Details and more entertainment news when we do That Hollywood Thing at about 8:35am this morning.
