Rock Island and Moline have new mayors on this cold, rainy morning.

1 - Moline has its first female mayor in the person of Stephanie Acri, who handily defeated incumbent mayor Scott Raes in yesterday's election. Rock Island residents elected Mike Thomas as their new mayor with a large majority as well. Our news partners at WQAD News 8 have all yesterday's election results here.

2 - Depending on what the atmosphere decides to do today, this cold rain could become snow this afternoon, and if so, could accumulate on grassy surfaces, and make roads slick. WQAD Meteorologist Eric Sorensen has the forecast details here.
