Craig's List: 4 Things to Know

It's the weekend. Yay!

1 - April finally finds its mojo this weekend. Sunny skies and warmer temps are in store with a high of 60º today and 71º for Saturday. I'll probably mow my yard for the first time this year tomorrow. WQAD Meteorologist Taylor Graham has the forecast details here.

2 - The River Bandits opened their season with a win at Modern Woodman Park last night. They'll play the second of two against Wisconsin at the park tonight. Game time is 6:35pm. Scores and more when we do That Sports Thing at around 7:35am on The Morning KIIK Start.

3 - I'll be giving away the last pair of Beach Boys tickets for the July 13 show at the Adler this morning. And I'll have more tickets to next Saturday's I Love The 90's show at the iWireless to giveaway too. Don't miss entertainment news on That Hollywood Thing at about 8:35am on FM 104-9.

4 - According to a report in the Quad City Times, the Rock Island Public Library board has approved a relocation and renovation plan that would relocate the main branch of the library to the current location of the Tri-City Jewish Center on 30th Street in Rock Island. The existing branch would remain open as a satellite branch. The plan comes with a price tag of $16 million for purchase and renovations. The board will undertake a major fundraising campaign to raise the monies necessary for the plan.
