Grab an umbrella. We could see 2-4" inches of rain between now and Friday morning.

1 - We'll experience two rounds of showers and thunderstorms today - one round moving through the area as I type, and another round, potentially severe, moving through this evening and overnight. WQAD Meteorologist Taylor Graham has the forecast details here.

2 - Timing is everything. With potentially severe weather in the cards for the next three days, the National Weather Service office in Davenport is in the middle of a move. The signal broadcast to weather radios, and the doppler radar will be out of service during this time. Make sure you've got the WQAD Weather app loaded on your phone, and keep a close eye on local TV for weather updates.

3 - Downtown Bettendorf is holding a special lunch today featuring Indy 500 Historian Don Davidson. The event gets underway at 11:30am at the Waterfront Convention Center. Also on hand will be a replica of an Indy 500 Pace Car. Details and scores when we do That Sports Thing at around 7:40am on The Morning KIIK Start.

4 - The coffee scene in the Quad Cities is both vibrant, and sometimes unsettled. Coffee Hound in Davenport has had an amicable break-up with two of its locations. Amanda Hancock at the Quad City Times explains what's going on. More entertainment news when we do That Hollywood Thing at about 8:40am on FM 104-9.

Stay dry and have a great Wednesday.

- Craig
