Craig's List: 4 Things to Know

Rabbit, rabbit.

1 - Some sweet weather is ushering in the month of September. Sunshine will dominate through late Monday, with temps rising each day. Sunday and Labor Day will give us one last blast of heat and humidity too. Forecast details are here.

2 - Rock Island's Madison Keys advanced to the third round of the U.S. Open yesterday. Her third round match against Russian Elsie Vesnina is scheduled for 10:00am tomorrow morning. Scores and more when we do That Sports Thing at around 7:35am.

3 - The Rock Island Grand Prix takes place this weekend. It's one of the biggest go-kart races in the country. It's one of our Weekend Top 10 events. Details and more things to do when we do That Entertainment Thing at about 8:35am.

4 - Watch for the KIIK-mobile in the Rock Island Labor Day Parade on Monday morning. The parade gets underway at 9:30am from Washington Junior High and travels west along 18th Avenue to 24th Street, then takes 25th Avenue over to Rock Island High School. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you.
