There's a new video that shows a Missouri deer and kitten are best buds and I have so many questions.

This "special" video moment apparently happened near Branson, Missouri which explains a lot. Here's what the person that shared the video had to say for themselves:

Our new kitten, Monkey being loved on by Buttons the deer.

The kitten is named "Monkey" and the deer is named "Buttons"? Who taught you how to name animals, Branson? Sigh. I will admit this is a rather innocent wildlife moment.

I actually did a search to find out if cats scare deer. (I don't recommend you do this yourself as I am a trained professional) The short answer is no, deer are not afraid of cats. However, I also learned that deer during rutting season can attack pets including cats. So much confusion.

This cat/deer moment is not an isolated incident. Newsweek reported a few weeks ago about another lovely deer and cat bonding experience.

Instead of trying to figure out this Branson, Missouri deer and cat lovefest, I should just accept it for what it is. It's innocence in the middle of a world gone somewhat crazy and that's a good thing.
