When traveling through Davenport, you might find yourself either twisted around or annoyed (or both) by 3rd and 4th streets. At the moment, both are one-way streets, and according to residents, have caused more than a few near-accidents.

So, the Downtown Davenport Partnership is pushing to turn 3rd and 4th Streets into two-way streets. This isn't the first time there's been a push for this change. Of course, it's in very early stages right now. Nothing has been approved or announced.

Personally, I wouldn't mind a few more two-way streets around here. Having to go up a block or two, then circle back around has gotten frustrating in the past. One-ways may be common in downtown areas, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're convenient.

Then again, this switch would mean more construction and closures, and I'm just about over that phase of summer too.

What about you? Would you like to see 3rd and 4th turned into two-way streets?
