We know we have a pretty awesome St. Patrick's Day party here in the Quad Cities, now everybody else knows as well!

Niche, a well-known blog that ranks cities in hundreds of categories every year, listed Davenport as the THIRD best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in America.

Boston and Pittsburgh beat Davenport out for the top spot, but the QC ranked higher than cities like Chicago, St. Louis, Philadelphia and Cleveland.

As for why they ranked Davenport so high, the blog says "Davenport and the Quad Cities region of Illinois and Iowa host the Grand Parade – the only bi-state St. Patrick’s Day Parade in the U.S followed by a Post Parade Bash filled with Irish revelry."

This year's St. Patrick's Day parade takes place Saturday, March 12th, beginning at 10 a.m. on the corner of 4th Avenue and 23rd Street in Rock Island.  The parade crosses the Centennial into Davenport.
