Davenport Water Could Make You Sick Today

Water in certain areas of Davenport isn’t safe to drink today.

With all the construction going on in Davenport, it is no surprise that precautions like this are in order today.

I am not exempt from the construction craziness. Oh no. They are right outside my work building and station window. In fact, here’s the view from my work-world this week.

With all the construction going on in Davenport, it is no surprise that precautions like this are in order today.

I found the full list of neighborhoods effected and boil orders in order at QCTimes.com,

Addresses affected by the boil advisory include:

• 3000 and 3100 blocks of Western Avenue and Gaines Street

• 400 through 700 blocks of W. 31st St.

• 600 and 700 blocks of W. 32nd St.

Water will be turned off from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. today. Water customers in the affected areas will be under the advisory until 6 p.m., Thursday.

Customers in the affected area should bring their water to a rolling boil for one minute before using for drinking or cooking.
