Okay Mother Nature. It's fine when you mess with us; we can take it. But messing with our dogs? Not cool.

Unfortunately, she did anyway, and inclement weather forced Dogtoberfest to be rescheduled. It was originally going to happen in Bettendorf on September 29th, so if you couldn't make that, I guess it's okay that it got moved.

According to the Quad-City Times, Dogtoberfest will now be happening this Sunday, October 6th. It'll happen at noon until 3:30 p.m. over at Crow Creek Dog Park, 4800 Devils Glen Road, Bettendorf.

Admission is free and the first "150 households through the gate" will be taking home free doggie bags. Among the features that everyone can experience will be food trucks, contests (these are specifically for dogs), a live and silent auction, and a raffle.

Here's hoping that Mother Nature decides to come through this time and give attendees a nice, crisp fall day. (Please?)
