With today's sub zero wind chills, it doesn't seem possible we could be outside planting in just a few weeks, but that's the plan for Duck Creek.

The Davenport Public Works Department is looking for volunteers to help plant bluebells along a section of the Duck Creek Recreational Trail.

According to KWQC, the project will help to stabilize soil, filter pollutants, and diversify trail views and habitats.

The planting is set for Saturday, March 30th, at 9:00 a.m. The section of trail to be improved by the project is near the trail spur off of E George Washington, just west of Garfield Park. Additional details are provided with registration.
