Fire Marshal says Rock Island Cafe Fire was “Intentionally Set”

Mann's Cafe in Rock Island was severely damage in a blaze yesterday afternoon.

Fire crews responded to the blaze around 6 p.m., approximately 10 minutes after it was called in.  There's no word on how long the fire had been burning before the call was made.

The city's Fire Marshal, Greg Marty, says the fire looks to have been set intentionally.

Mann's cafe wasn't open, but was undergoing renovations at the time of the fire.
