FOLLOW UP: Nationwide Outpour for Man Who Called 9-1-1 Because He Had No Food

My heart is full to read this morning that Clarence Blackmon, 81, of Fayetteville, N.C. is getting so much love from all over! After his story went nationwide this week, the outpour he received in return was overwhelming.

This story has really done me in this week with tears. I am so thankful this man got what he needed. However, the sad truth is, this is the reality for so many seniors and elderly in our area and I wish there were enough services and people to help!

Since the call has been reported in the media, Blackmon said he has been getting calls from all over the nation.

"I'm so exhausted, I can hardly talk," he said.

And his pantry is full.

"You wouldn't believe the outpouring from people," he said.

Blackmon said he appreciates Hinson's help.

"She made something happen," he said.
