Well hold on to your boots and hats. Yes, the forecast is for snow, but not just yet.

The Old Farmer's Almanac which has a long history of predicting the weather and being surprisingly accurate is saying that the long range forecast for the remainder of 2017 and early 2018 is looking like a milder than normal winter. However, with the milder temperatures comes a winter with above-normal precipitation and snowfall.

The Almanac is saying,

"The coldest periods will be from late November into early December, from late December into early January, and in early February. The snowiest periods will be in mid-November, early to mid- and late December, and early February." The 2017-2018 Farmer's Almanac.
