This guy is an a**hole. A Berlin man creates a completely fake traffic jam on Google Maps using 99 phones. Who does that?! Simon Weckert does and he's a jerk of a genius pulling this off.

Weckert, a Berlin artist, wanted to see what if "it is possible to turn a green street red, which has an impact in the physical world by navigating cars on another route to avoid being stuck in traffic," he wrote in his blog.

Normally, Google looks at a high amount of cellphone activity in a single area on a road to determine if there is a traffic jam. Even though that is mostly true from experiences we always have, a spokesperson from Google, according to ABC News, says, "whether via car or cart or camel, we love seeing creative uses of Google Maps as it helps us make maps work better over time."

As you can see in the video, the streets seem pretty empty as Weckert pulls his little red wagon with 99 phones using Google Maps. Obviously they would be he turns the entire road red.

From an artistic stand point, I don't really get it. Looking at it as a prank, absolutely genius and diabolical.
