Still need a vaccine? The fine folks at Modern Woodmen Park is the place to get a free vaccine and along with it, you'll get a free ride on the park's Ferris wheel.

Saturday, July 17, from the ball park is offering the single shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine at their clinic from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Anyone who gets a shot will also get a free ride on the Ferris Wheel.

According to WQAD TV local officials think offering a vaccine at the ballpark makes complete sense.

“Health officials nationwide report a growing public preference for walk-in clinics, rather than scheduled appointments," said Scott County Supervisor Ken Croken. "For many, it will be easier to show-up at the baseball stadium on Saturday morning, get a single shot, and get back to their busy lives without missing normal work hours and other responsibilities."

You may recall, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine has been approved for people 18 years and older. All you need to do is show up and get your one dose shot.

The clinic is being held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Modern Woodmen Park, and it'ss open to anyone, not just Scott County residents.

You don't need an appointment. When was the last time you rode the Ferris wheel? That's a pretty fun reward for something you've been meaning to do anyway.
