Government Bridge Closed on Saturday

The oldest river crossing in the Quad Cities will be closed again on Saturday.

The Government Bridge between Davenport and Arsenal Island will close between 7:30am and 3:30pm on Saturday. The Army Corps of Engineers needs to close the span for repairs to it, and Lock & Dam 15.

The closure will not affect the Quad City Marathon events this weekend.

But, look at the bright side - al least you don't have to wait for a barge... right?
